Begin with a soothing session in the Infrared Sauna 20-25min followed by an invigorating immersion in the Ice Bath for max 3 minutes. It is recommended to first sauna, as sauna sessions increase the blood flow and heart rate and make our muscles relax, which cold plunges slows down the heart rate and makes our blood vessels contract.
If going into extreme heat straight after an ice bath, your body is cold and needs to take a while just to heat up. Therefore, rather start with heat so you get the sweating and detoxifying benefits and end with an ice bath.
As always, consult with a doctor first to make sure you are safe and in good physical health to start with such therapy.

Infrared sauna is a powerful, health-giving tool.  Sauna is known to provide a range of health benefits including relaxation, pain relief, improved sleep, detox and athletic recovery.

The cold makes our body release noradrenaline and dopamine which leaves us with a natural feel good ‘high’ and improved mood. And the transition from hot to cold creates thermogenesis in our brown fat stores which helps assimilate these harder to move fat stores.

Furthermore, when we are exposed to the chilly temperatures of the Ice Bath, the cold activates cold shock proteins.  Cold shock proteins have been shown to regenerate brain synapses which leads to increases memory function.

The short is, if you go from Sauna to Ice Bath ... it will help you clear away fat, increase your circulation and improve your mood and memory.  A pretty good deal for a minute or two of discomfort!
