Why 30 Minutes? The Science Behind It

Our 30-minute session is designed for optimal effectiveness and safety, following research-backed protocols:

  • Infrared Sauna – Up to 25 minutes at the highest comfortable heat for relaxation, detoxification, and recovery.

  • Ice Bath – Set at 15°C for a maximum of 3 minutes to stimulate circulation, enhance mood, and support metabolic health. (and doing it longer and colder particularly for females, can actually set you back!) *See below consideration.

  • Red Light Therapy – Can be used while in the sauna for additional benefits: rejuvenates skin, relieves deep tissue pain and enhances sleep.

(To read more about the benefits click on the title of the different therapies and be take to their respective pages.)

Why Heat First, Then Cold?

Starting with the sauna increases blood flow, relaxes muscles, and promotes sweating, while ending with an ice bath contracts blood vessels, slows the heart rate, and enhances recovery. This contrast boosts circulation, creates thermogenesis in our brown fat stores which helps assimilate these harder to move fat stores.and leaves you feeling refreshed and energised.

Frequency for Maximum Benefits

  • Sauna: Ideally 3-4 times per week

  • Ice Bath: Up to 11 minutes per week (split into short sessions)

The Science of Contrast Therapy

  • Infrared Sauna – Supports detoxification, pain relief, improved sleep, and muscle recovery.

  • Red Light Therapy -

  • Ice Bath – Triggers the release of noradrenaline and dopamine, boosting mood and mental clarity. It also activates cold shock proteins, which help regenerate brain synapses and improve memory.

A few minutes of discomfort for powerful, lasting benefits—better circulation, fat metabolism, a clearer mind, and an elevated mood!
